Boxing of Afghan Women (Training-Kabul)

We offer you a small selection of photographs taken on 17 January in one of the sports halls of Kabul during the training of Afghan women's national team in boxing.

 The team includes girls from 14 to 25 years, which by 2012 plans to take part in the Olympic Games in London. Other Muslim countries are also considering the establishment of women's teams in boxing. 

 For example, Egypt has assembled a team of female boxers. The head of Iran's Boxing Federation said that the country will also begin to train the female team in boxing, as soon as it finds appropriate clothing for Muslim girls.
